Chooo Chooo!  There’s the hype train coming down the tracks again.  And those are my awful train sound effects that luckily for you, I’ve spared you in vocal form.  But yes, there was and is much hype surrounding the sequel to last years love it or hate it anthology film, V/H/S.  I have now seen the sequel, V/H/S/2, traveling many miles to tell you my thoughts on whether or not you should pop it in and push play, or eject that shit like a bootleg version of House Of The Dead.   Continue reading →

News: V/H/S/2 Is On Deck!

V/H/S was a bit of a letdown for me, but still did enough right to get me excited about the news that dropped today.  Due to the popular response and mostly positive reviews of the first, V/H/S/2 is coming to bring us more anthology madness!  New sequel means new directors for the individual stories, so coming on board this time are:  Gareth Evans (The Raid – btw, see this if you haven’t already), Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project, Lovely Molly), Jason Eisener (Hobo With A Shotgun), and Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre).  In addition, Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard (You’re Next) will be returning. This new horror journey follows a similar structure as the first, and will have a pair of investigators discovering a VHS tape while searching for a missing student.  Shooting is taking place now, so stay tuned for more details!
