Sound the trumpets! Sunday Bloody Sunday is back! Ok, I see that the fanfare should be more like a small party popper that shoots out confetti with a whimper. Nonetheless, it’s been a minute – so let’s get right into it with one of my favorite death scenes from one of my favorite underrated movies, 1990’s Hardware:

As the title of my post and the title of the Youtube clip states, that was in fact a robot killing a perv. I honestly adore Hardware and still remember being a 14-year-old horror loving whippersnapper the first time I saw it. I dig the style, the story, and the robot. And Iggy Pop is in it! The other thing besides the perv getting his just desserts for being so pervy that I loved about this clip (and the movie in general) is the score by Simon Boswell. Not your typical sci-fi/horror score, which is why I dig it so much. Now go back and watch the clip again and rejoice in the return of Sunday Bloody Sunday and of the perv’s demise!

Awww yeah!  It’s summertime and nothing says summertime like hittin’ the beach for some sand, sun, and tasty waves.  And who wouldn’t want to hit the beach with something that would make people stop and stare and say “Why the hell is that person wearing a promotional tank top from the original 1990 Flatliners movie?”

Why, yes.  That is indeed an original promotional tank top from the 1990 movie Flatliners. Notice I had to specify by saying the year because of that remake abortion that came out in 2017.  Anywho – I do love perusing eBay for old promotional horror items and when this one popped up in my search, I just had to share.  It even has a fun ‘beach’ color to it!  So if you’re interested in knowing more about purchasing, head on over to the listing HERE. Sunday Bloody Sunday: ‘Cat Down The Throat’ From ‘Tales From The Darkside – The Movie’ (1990)

Confession:  I don’t like cats.  There, I said it.  I’m a dog kind of guy and no offense to cat owners, but cats are definitely on the bottom of the pet totem pole for me.  And do you know why?  Because they can become murderous felines that literally jump down my throat and eat my insides!  And also, I’m allergic to them.

Welcome to Sunday Bloody Sunday where I’m going to give a little love to the crazy fucking cat from the Tales From The Darkside movie.  That’s right, in 1990 there was a movie based on the super-awesome TV show of the same name.  The big-screen version was ok, with the highlight probably being these scenes from the story, Cat From Hell, which involved some pretty impressive practical effects of the cat getting all down the throat of Buster Poindexter.
