Ebay Find Of The Week: Overlook Hotel Key Chain From ‘The Shining’

Sometimes, it’s the little things in life that can bring you joy.  Especially if that little thing is $6.99 and pays tribute to one of the greatest horror movies ever: The Shining.

That’s right – what you are looking at there is a replica of a key chain for the dreaded ‘Room 237‘ at the Overlook Hotel from The Shining.  This caught my eye right away as I browsed through thousands of Ebay listings in the ‘Horror Memorabilia‘ section.  And to give you even better news, you may be able to get one for cheaper than $6.99 because the seller has a ‘Make Offer’ option in the listing!  If you’re interested, head over HERE and snatch one up.  Just make sure to watch out for creepy rotting naked old ladies if you do go into ‘Room 237‘.

*Warning:  There is nudity in the clip below.  Some good nudity, and some bad nudity.  You can decide which you think is good and which is bad when you watch it.*

Find Of The Week: Rare Japanese Promotional Item For ‘Dead Alive’ (1992)

It pains me to not be able to put the ‘Ebay’ in front of ‘Find Of The Week’ for this post today, because that means what I’m about to talk about is sadly not for sale at the moment.  Upon searching for photos of Peter Jackson’s classic gorefest Dead Alive (aka Braindead) yesterday, I stumbled across a legit picture of a randomly amazing promotional item for the Japanese release of the 1992 film on VHS.  Thanks to Ghoul Basement for the info, below is a pic of an inflatable version of the maniacal face-ripping baby that you apparently could have owned if you lived in Japan.

Easily one of the best promotional movie items I’ve ever seen.  But it’s such a tease!  The tease being because you basically can’t find one and I would imagine that if one of these babies showed up on Ebay, they would go for a pretty price.  So unfortunately, all we can really do is just stare at the pic and imagine what it would be like to have a creepy inflatable Dead Alive baby in our possession.  Just don’t stare at the pic too long, because then not only is the inflatable Dead Alive baby creepy, but you are too.

Holy Armadillos! New Poster For The 40th Anniversary Of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Is Released

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we get a glimpse at a new poster to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.  And it’s good news if you’re a fan of armadillos!

A new remastered version of the iconic horror film will make it’s debut at the SXSW festival this Monday.  But let’s talk about this poster for a minute.  Some might complain that it’s light on chainsaws, but I personally love it though.  It’s got the infamous van with the creepy hitchhiker blood smeared all over it.  And the colors really pop, which is always better than the alternative of the colors not popping.

The poster does bring to light an unfortunate realization that we must all come to terms with though:  The senseless killing of armadillos.  These strange creatures deserve better than to be left on the side of the road on their backs. It really can just start with one kind gesture to your fellow armadillo the next time you see him (or her) while you’re wandering in a waterless desert.  You will be rewarded with good karma.  Ok, now let’s see a pic of the crazy hitchhiker who smeared his blood all over the side of the van!
