Ebay Find Of The Week: ‘Ghoulies’ Promotional Hand Puppet!

If you’ve got the quarantine blues, I have come to the rescue with something that I found on eBay guaranteed to provide you with hours of fun!  And that something is………an official promotional Ghoulies hand puppet!

Did I say hours of fun?  Sorry, I’m a liar.  A few minutes is probably a little more accurate.  But, if you love Ghoulies – then this is the hand puppet for you!  Actually, kind of a lame hand puppet if you think about it.  Shouldn’t it just be of the green Ghoulie filling up the whole thing so you could move him around like an actual puppet?  But I digress.

It’s still fun and if you’d like to check out more info on it (there’s not really much more than what I told you though, honestly) – you can go HERE and get filled in.  Gotta admit though, the “They’ll get you in the end!” tagline was always pretty amazing.

Sunday Bloody Sunday: ‘Creepy Clown Attack’ From ‘Ghoulies’ (1985)

Nothing says a fun Saturday night like watching Ghoulies.  Yeah, I said Ghoulies.  I live a depressing life, but that’s not the focus here.  The focus is on the fact that Ghoulies actually has a few good parts in it and isn’t just a clever poster with a slimy bald green monster popping up out of the toilet with the equally clever tagline “They’ll Get You In The End!” attached.

On this week’s Sunday Bloody Sunday, I’m spotlighting one of my favorite and creepiest scenes from 1985’s Ghoulies and of course it involves a clown because I don’t like clowns.  Actually, this is more of a clown/jester hybrid that ends up being a green sharp-toothed monster underneath.  No, it doesn’t make any sense, but it sure is fun to watch!

Horror Movie Posters I Love: Ghoulies (1985)

I love a good pun.  And something that I love even more than good puns are slimy green creatures with bad teeth that stick their heads up out of toilets.  So, naturally it was a win-win situation for me when I first gazed upon the poster for Ghoulies back in 1985.

Take a good look at that beauty of a poster……because the actual movie is pretty awful so the poster is really all that we have going for us unfortunately. Yes, Ghoulies as a film is not good.  But dammit if those involved with the marketing knocked it out of the park, because the poster and cover art for the VHS lured people into watching this crap.  Sure, it’s an 80’s guilty pleasure to some and uncomfortable toilet paper to others – but you can’t deny the sheer genius of the tagline ‘They’ll Get You In The End!” along with the image of that green Ghoulie coming out of the crapper.  Speaking of crap and crappers, they rode that toilet theme all the way to Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go To College. That’s right….they actually went to college.
