This past Saturday, my day was spent walking by severed body parts, Lance Henriksen, zombified hookers, and that asshole judge from Syfy’s show Face Off.  Not a bad way to spend the day and much better than going to Bed Bath and Beyond. Where was I you ask?  At the Son Of Monsterpalooza make-up fx/horror convention in Burbank, California of course!  Having been to the now defunct Weekend Of Horrors convention numerous times, this was my first time checking out the Monsterpalooza convention in Burbank and now that I’ve been, it definitely won’t be my last.

Normally done in April, Monsterpalooza spawned the Son Of Monsterpalooza for the first time due to popular demand and judging from the crowd, it will be a staple to have this event two times a year from now on!    Continue reading →
