……..makes me believe that Sherri Moon Zombie is going to be in the movie. Ok.  I get it.  Rob Zombie loves his wife.  Nothing wrong with that at all.  I love my wife.  You probably love your wife.  A whole lot of love going around here. But she can’t act and it’s borderline uncomfortable when she’s on-screen.  It sort of worked for her in House Of 1000 Corpses and she was manageable in The Devil’s Rejects.  But then the Halloween movies happened and that really exposed the problem here.  I’m ranting and getting off topic, which is the new trailer for Rob’s original idea flick, The Lords Of Salem, so check it out below and we’ll meet up afterwards:

I’ve absolutely never had an issue with Rob Zombie’s imagery in his movies. In fact, that’s the obvious strong suit in all of them.  Going the obvious Kubrick route this time around with The Lords Of Salem, the new trailer definitely pulled me in with the visuals and I’m always down for some good old fashioned evil witchcraft.  But then we see Sherri Moon Zombie in the trailer.  And then see her again.  And again.  And again.  And well, you get the gist.  Early word on the movie is that it’s super-trippy, but suffers from Sherri’s acting because she is a prominent part of the plot.  But who knows – maybe she’ll surprise me. We’ll find out on April 19th.  And speaking of girls named Sherri, I can’t help but think of the Steve Perry video from the 80’s when I hear that name.  She was quite the looker in that video, huh?  Steve Perry, not so much.  In fact his creepiness would fit right in to a Rob Zombie movie, wouldn’t it?
