I’ll keep this one short and sweet folks.  Legendary screenwriter Frank Darabont (The Mist, The Shawshank Redemption, Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors) is diving right in and putting his fingers to work on the new script for the problematic and much delayed Godzilla reboot.  Had zero interest in this, but since the great Darabont is on board, I might be too. In an interview with io9 recently, he confirmed that he’s steering away from the campiness that’s usually associated with the big guy, and is definitely going the more terrifying route.  Sounds alright, but I’m still “Meh” on this whole project. Heavy CGI will be involved I’m sure, but as long as Matthew Broderick isn’t in the mix, I’m good.  Look for Godzilla to stomp his big ass feet around sometime in 2014.
