If you don’t own a turntable, you may want to bounce over to Ebay and snatch one up. Why you ask? Well, because Waxwork Records is going to be releasing the soundtrack to 1986’s killer robot movie, Chopping Mall! Yeah, move over Creepshow (which they will be releasing soon as well), there’s a new king in town. And that king is coming strapped with a cheesy 80’s synthy soundtrack courtesy of Chuck Cirino.
It doesn’t get more ridiculous and retro than Chopping Mall. Not sure I’ve really been fiending for the soundtrack on vinyl, but fuck it. It’s Chopping Mall! And one thing that makes Waxwork Records stand out from other vinyl distributors is they really take their releases seriously and provide great artwork and limited variant versions of the records as well. Is it too much to ask for a variant somehow incorporating Barbara Crampton’s breasts in a design? Probably, but stay tuned to Waxwork Records for more details coming soon.
